A Typical Day
Our days always begin with a warm up which can take multiple forms such as core, HITT, flexibility, yoga etc…
Lesson 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 operate on a rotating system so group 1 will have theatre history whilst group 2 have commercial dance and then the groups will rotate.
Lunch is from 12-1pm and students are welcome to stay on site or go off to the local shops / cafes to enjoy their lunch break. Staff are always available during lunch periods and are on hand to help in whatever way is needed.
Periods 3 & 4 are also based on a rotating system and an afternoon session could be Singing for group 1 & Jazz for group 2 then rotation following their class.
Groups are split on ability to ensure that each student is getting an accessible program designed to match their skill level.
In a typical week you will have 20+ hours of face-to-face classes and lessons in the following subjects:
- Jazz
- Tap
- Singing
- Ballet
- Commercial
- Acting through song
- Contemporary
- Acting
- Theatre history
- Devising
- Improvisation
- Street & Hip hop
On top of this program, we also offer workshops, work experience, unit based specific classes and every Friday afternoon we also offer a catch-up program where students are welcome to go home to study / complete their work or remain on site with teachers on hand to assist them in completing any work / assignments. During this time our studios are also available for our students to use to complete any additional group rehearsals or just work on something for fun.
